A wedding day is perhaps the most special day in a young couples life. A day in which they cement their love for each other and all that comes with it. Luckily for this couple though, they have an extra special factor that holds them close together – their love of some stanky kush. Thus was born the weed wedding.
Coral and Mio’s passion for cannabis wasn’t put aside on their special day either, and was rather openly embraced by the couple. It is clearly no secret to the family and friends as they commemorated their special moment by ripping some fatties from their custom made His & Hers glass pieces for their weed wedding.
They are seen clutching their pieces throughout their special day, ensuring a chilled and successful weed wedding day. This is somewhat far from the norm, certainly making for some unique photos captured by their photographer – Rachel Artime. However, it wasn’t just the wedding day that captured their love for the herb – but their engagement photos too. On their engagement day, they can also be seen passing a fat blunt to each other, enhancing their special moment.
Cannabis is seen by many as a lifestyle choice, personally medicating themselves. It would appear that the boundaries of when and where to get blazed is changing drastically too. Usually enjoyed in a personal space and between these two lovers, it is brought out to the world and hidden from no one.
We may start to see more of these weed weddings in the future. Communal bongos may be passed around for all to enjoy, and an open bar with pre-rolled jiggys and complimentary jars of bud on every table. I most definitely am all for it, why not celebrate your special day with something you love? You also won’t have to worry too much about anyone getting obliterated on the booze and making a fool of themselves on your special night.
Here’s to more giggly weddings and red-eyed moments. Or as Coral believes: “to have and to toke, forever and everâ€. Congrats to this stoner couple, we wish you many more fat rips and smoke seshes.
If you ain’t chokin, you ain’t tokin’
